THE TALE OF AN EXPONENTIAL TECHNOLOGY WITH THE POWER TO CHANGE WHAT ENDS UP ON YOUR DINNER TABLE š
š The Future Of Food: A Series
When I was a kid, all I ever wanted to do was time travel. I read all these crazy time travel books about meeting robots and even online school (got to see that one) and would spend hours speculating how itād be.
If we believe that school, architecture and even inhabitants are going to change, why do we assume that our plates arenāt going to change? And no, this isnāt going to lead up to robots serving you food ā Iām talking about the actual *food* itself.
In this page, youāre going to be time travelling to the future of food. For those who do not know, Iāve been working on a cellular agriculture/future of food series for SO LONG!
Since itās probably really annoying to hop around looking for everything I write (half the time, Iām too), hereās a page where you can find it all, bookmarked!
ā ļø WAIT! ā Like any time-traveller going to explore the future, donāt forget the adventurer backpack you always dreamt of carrying as a kid! This backpack has everything you need for a smooth ride to the future. (backpack linked*)
Wellā¦ welcome to the time machine. Donāt get too comfy because youāre going to be getting out and exploring the murky mashes of biology, the dark side of the status quo and even meet a new š® friend! You have a whole day packed in front of you.
- The Future Ofā¦ Meat?
Who is it for? This piece is for the ordinary Joe, the upcoming food-tech-hero, the crazy foodies and anyone else who want to get a brief, concise overview in little time.
ā ļø Before you stop your time machine here, I want to warn you ā this is more broad than deep!
What does it cover? A lot of things. Mainly, the problem with our food system, cellular agriculture, the steps, limitations and a very, very interesting quote.

Who is it for? This piece is for the curious thinkers, the technology enthusiasts and the upgraded ordinary Joes (creativity š).
What does it cover? The Status Quo ā putting a face to our broken food system (get ready to meet a new š® friend), going deeper into each step, a lil bit of impact and scaling. This has way more depth and is good for someone who, like me, dreams of working in the space.
3. āļø EXTRA! Impossible Foods: The Secret Behind Plant-Based Meat
You want to expand your outlook, huh? Treat yourself with an article about plant-based meat!

4. A 5-Step Guide to Making Milk in the Labs
Did you really think it was all meat? Letās balance it out!
Who is it for? Anyone concerned about cow welfare (might know someone š), but is too attached to their milk to want to stop. You may have tried to go on milk-free diets but that heavenly fluid wonāt leave your head as your thoughts get closer and closer to it. Also, WTH is soy milk?
What does it cover? How broken our system is, the 5 steps to regaining joy ā which covers the composition of milk, yeast, plasmids, DNA cloning and so on (I promise itās beginner-friendly!!), an FB meme and how YOU can get involved!
5. Beyond Leather
Surprises all the way ā you can grow clothes now?!
Who is it for? Cow welfare folks are always welcome, but this piece may interest the sustainable fashionista, the technical guru or even the humble onlooker. This piece has something to offer for everyone, with both technical and non-technical options (code blocks = technical), described in simple, fun language.
What does it cover? The microbe weāll be exploiting: yeast, what leather really is, precision fermentation, DNA cloning, other inserts and Modern Meadowsā mission. An interesting read for anyone, really.
Also, thereās nothing that bonds people better than food does. Share these articles with your pals to spark some food-related conversations and to hype each other up about the chickenless chicken! Plus, Iām positively sure that theyāll be just as aMOOsed (sorry) to get a chance to time travel.
